Joseph A. Zummo, President of Global Building, oversees day to day operations, provides leadership and direction to all employees and executes the investment and management policies for the company.
Mr. Zummo has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, with expertise in acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, asset and property management, land subdivisions, managing commercial properties under Tenant in Common (TIC) ownership, and reporting to TIC investors. Prior to joining Global Building, Mr. Zummo worked with C. W. Tucker Lewis at Mammoth Equities as the Regional Director for Southern California. There he was responsible for overseeing development, leasing and property management for a portfolio in excess of 1 million square feet in the Southern California area.
Prior to Mammoth Equities, Mr. Zummo was involved with various other commercial real estate firms. During the early 1990’s, he was directly involved in the management, leasing and disposition of distressed properties on behalf of financial institutions and the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC), where he successfully managed distressed real estate by repositioning under-performing assets for disposition through refurbishment and re-tenanting.
Mr. Zummo earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in finance, real estate & law from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and holds a California real estate broker license. He is active in the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA).
