Mr. Nowlin has over 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry with a background in acquisitions, dispositions, brokerage, appraisal, asset management, leasing, marketing and finance. Mr. Nowlin formed Nowlin Interests in May 2007 and subsequently joined Global in 2007 to manage all real estate activities in the Texas region. Prior to joining Global Building, Mr. Nowlin was Managing Director-Texas with Bresler and Reiner, Inc. In this role, Mr. Nowlin was responsible for 16 buildings with over one million square feet of office space, overseeing all management, leasing and construction activities. Additionally, Mr. Nowlin initiated, underwrote and negotiated acquisitions on six buildings totaling over 500,000 square feet within a 12 month period. Prior to Bresler & Reiner, Mr. Nowlin was Director of Portfolio Management for Boxer Property Management Corporation. At Boxer, as Director of Portfolio Management, Mr. Nowlin was in charge of overseeing, positioning, marketing and selling a 6 million square foot portfolio of office buildings. During three years, he sold 35 buildings totaling over 2.75 million square feet for over $200 million. Prior to Boxer, Mr. Nowlin had a successful 18 year career in the commercial mortgage banking business with Northmarq Capital, He was involved in over $3.3 billion of capital placement in both property level and entity level transactions. Mr. Nowlin placed various types of bank, life company, CMBS, structured participating and mezzanine forms of debt as well as preferred equity, JV and entity level equity transactions, specializing in complex capital structures. Mr. Nowlin graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance with an emphasis in real estate. Mr. Nowlin serves on the board K-Life, a non-profit youth organization. Mr. Nowlin is also a licensed real estate broker in the state of Texas.
